Forestadent’s Milton Keynes office was struggling with capacity limits on its web-based email delivery service; so, in conjunction with plans to relocate their office to purpose-built premises, Quatrix worked with FORESTADENT to deploy a new server environment to improve email communications, whilst causing minimal business disruption.

Forestadent experienced numerous benefits from the replacement server that Quatrix deployed as they were able to communicate more effectively both within the business and with their clients and experienced no loss of service through the office relocation. They also gained a modern server operating platform which will continue to support the needs of the business for years to come and, since multiple server roles are run without duplicate hardware costs, the virtual environment allows them to leverage maximum benefit from the hardware purchased.

Faced with a server that was reaching the end of its useable life and an expanding user base, Quatrix provided replacement hardware that utilised Microsoft’s Small Business Server platform to provide enhanced email functionality from an internal system. Virtualisation technology was also provided to allow several server roles to be deployed on a single piece of hardware to ensure the maximum possible return from the investment made.
